Requirements for a USA student visa

  • Copy of Valid Passport 

  • High school (Grade 9–12) 

  • English Proficiency Test Score

  • TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo English Test (above 110 score)

  • Personal Statement or Essay

  • Recommendation Letters (optional)

  • No national exam required

Tuition and living expenses
  • 25,000-35,000 US dollars/year
Embassy fees
  • SEVIS FEE 350 US dollars
  • MRV FEE 185 US dollars (paid at Abissinya Bank)

Working on an F-1 Visa 1. On-Campus Employment •Allowed up to 20 hours/week during the semester •Can work full-time (40 hrs/week) during school breaks (summer, winter) •Examples: university cafeteria, library, research lab Other Key F-1 Visa Facts •Grace Period: 60 days after completing your program or OPT to leave the U.S., transfer, or change status •You can transfer to another school within the U.S. without leaving the country •You must get a new I-20 for each major school change or degree level
